The virus has been with us for well over a year now, but thanks to Aysen's remote location and adherence to the national health guidelines, the Austral Garden Route has been able to accept and assist the visitors the entire time, although in a greatly reduced capacity due to the impact of the pandemic on the tourist industry. For the members of the route, it has been a time of reflection and re-direction, and as a group, we have drawn closer together, and are now in the process of making the Austral Garden Route a co-operative enterprise, which will benefit our visitors, our enterprises, our local community and the natural environment which we seek to protect and enhance through our permaculture and regenerative activities. Not all of our establishments are open during the winter. At this time reservations are necessary for those who wish for accommodation. Please contact us to make a reservation.
