We're Jose and Dyana. We came to Patagonia in search of sustainability and a life in harmony with nature. After an extensive search we found a farm, established by pioneers, with two hectares of land on the banks of the Rio Cisnes and  surrounded by snow capped mountains and vast forests. 

 

It was the perfect place to create a haven for people exploring the Carretera Austral, so we converted an old farmhouse into a cafe serving genuine coffee (not nescafe) home baked breads and pastries, snacks, breakfast and lunch, and a fully equipped campsite with trails leading down to the river and through the woods, where there is a large gathering space with an open fire and picnic tables.

We've recently renovated and modernised a pioneers house, into a refugio with a large kitchen and lounge downstaris and dormitory upstairs, all lit by natural daylight flowing in from huge windows that provide a sense of great space through the surrounding scenery and open up to the large sheltered terrace that wraps around most of the building. Visitors have described the refugio as 'luxurious' which is in keeping with our desire to treat our guests to an experience they will long remember.
